2.1 Board Membership – Elections/Training
As from November 2001, 3 vacancies will be open for potential board
members. Parents will have received
information from the council regarding the formal process.
A seminar for potential board members will be held at Broughton High to
highlight the background of board membership.
2.2 125th Anniversary of the
school / Rowand Anderson
It was confirmed that Graham Bodenham would continue to work with Moira
McGovern on this project. Following
2 meetings, on 5th June 2001 and 25th June 2001, general decisions were made
that sufficient publicity was needed. Sebastian
Tunes attended the last meeting and made a valuable contribution.
At the next meeting on 7th September 2001, possibilities
will be clarified. All
involved parties will attend and there is a possibility of a lecture being held
on Rowand Anderson, but Jacqui Horsburgh is awaiting confirmation.
Mr. Tunes has also contacted other architects and Historic Scotland to
raise interest and contributions. Walter Steven may be able to contribute more specialist
information on this architectural history.
